For more than 15 years, GoliathTech Inc. has been manufacturing high-performance galvanized steel helical piles at its facility in Magog, Quebec. But with production revving up and more franchisees coming on board throughout Europe and North-America, we recognized that it was time to expand.
We broke ground on September 1, 2021, less than three kilometers from our then-current facility. Of course, we plan to use our award-winning galvanized helical piles as a foundation system for the steel bollards, electric gates, streetlights and every other structure that will be raised around our new production facility.
In only seven months, our investment took shape. And with the new, more spacious manufacturing plant now fully operational, we want to take a moment to share with you how the new facility is helping us write our next chapter.
Thinking long-term
A significant difference between our original facility and the new location is its high ceilings. The extra height facilitates the movement of product with the aid of automated machinery that streamlines production and reduces manufacturing costs. At the same time, we continue to have the space we need to produce products that lead the industry.
GoliathTech CEO Julian Reusing notes that the new production methods “give us the ability to manufacture parts that other competitors simply do not have…This new plant represents a major long-term investment and will help us prepare for the expansion of our business internationally, especially in Europe, over the next 10 years.”
Bigger plant, smaller footprint
Our long-term vision also accounts for sustainability. Prior to construction, we conducted an environmental impact assessment to determine that the project wouldn’t affect wildlife in the area. Additionally, the new facility is outfitted with special drainage to avoid impacting groundwater.
What’s next
Since 2004, we’ve combined manufacturing strengths and outside-the-box thinking to offer the best foundation solution in the industry. Our new plant helps us look forward to the next decade and beyond. With it, we’re employing faster, more efficient technologies to meet global demands for supporting and stabilizing home foundations, modular and manufactured homes, boardwalks and bridges, decks, agricultural tents, patios, docks and boathouses, solar panels, wind turbines, streetlights, and more.
